Your Passion Your Film

Services

Our services are specifically developed to address the growing need for young people to express their creativity based on their passions. To begin with, our workshops are centered around the ideas of young people, enabling them to produce a film they will be proud of. As a result, the “Your Passion, Your Film” Workshops are designed as a series of sessions to empower young people, guiding them through the process of transforming their ideas into meaningful film projects.

Our Impact

To illustrate our impact, we recently engaged with disengaged young people through a 4-week project called School Life at The Avenue Centre in Luton. This project focused on working with individuals who face emotional, behavioral, and learning difficulties. During this time, the young participants created a series of videos to share their school experiences. Specifically, these activities involved taking turns, interviewing peers, and, most importantly, making an anti-bullying video that addressed their past experiences with bullying. Consequently, one young person who had previously refused to attend school for two years returned and was subsequently predicted to achieve A grades in their GCSEs.

Key Skills and Outcomes

As a result of attending these workshops:

• Produced a Anti Bullying video to help others.

• Operated professional equipment.

• A young person reengaged with school.

• Learnt how to film and edit videos.

Bringing History To Life

At Lowewood Museum in Hertfordshire, we provided an enriching opportunity to bring history to life through the medium of film. For instance, Key Stage 3 students created films based on the diary entries of a World War One soldier, Stephen Warner. As a result, this project allowed students to delve into history, understand it more deeply, and creatively express their understanding through film. Ultimately, this experience not only enriched their knowledge but also honed their filmmaking skills.
